Description

A hip technique throw. Break your opponent’s balance to his front or right front corner, enter deeply with your right hip to float him up, and twist to throw him over it.

Kuzushi:

  • Bring your partner forward so their weight is on their toes.


Tsukuri:

  • Step forward and get the underhook on your partner's waist or across their back.

  • Turn until you're facing the same direction as your partner.

  • Bring the back of your hip to your partner's hip. Your belt should be below theirs.


Kake:

  • Both feet should be on the same plane and facing forward after you pivot.

  • Twist your hip before you load your partner’s weight onto it.

  • Twist your hip the other way to create the throwing force.
